to doing it wrong // a note from michelle

hey fam, michelle here, leader of this handful of gems we call {pyc}.
we’re doing some shifting and growing around here, and I want to share something that’s been on my mind…

being an entrepreneur means I get a lot of advice from a lot of people (who listen to a lot of podcasts). they use phrases like ‘niche market’ (which would sounds nice if I weren’t so in love with everyone) and ‘vertical growth’ (which would sound nice if I weren’t so focused on the depths of our humanity, interconnection, and practice).

they tell me our ‘wellness content’ is supposed to be ‘aspirational,’ make you want to buy something to be something; the problem is we’d rather remind you what you already are.

we set out to do things a little differently. we want to make quality yoga offerings easy to access (regardless of your location, income or ability), and we want high quality yoga teachers to make a real living. we want you to value the wisdom and guidance we offer, and to know that the wisdom and guidance within you is just as valuable.

all this makes it really hard to ‘target’ a ‘demographic’ and really fun to gather in community. because when we do gather, in a yoga studio or far-flung retreat or online comment section, we are different in so many ways and we are pulled toward the same practice - and inevitably, toward each other.

yoga is for everyone and *this* yoga is for everyone. whether you want to flow freely or learn to sit still or nerd out about tantric philosophy (or yes please, all of the above) - you belong here.

almost certainly, none of this will make me rich; and almost certainly, it will make (y)our lives better.

that’s what I’m betting. (and that’s what we’re doing here).

coming soon: new ways to help you connect to what moves you, exactly how you want to move today. sticking around: community, accessibility, and straying just far enough from the beaten path. 💓

you can find us flowing here, join the fam here, and support our teachers here. in any case, we’ll see each other soon, friends. be good to each other. // m
