The Return of Retreats: Part I

We've had more than two and a half years to think deeply and daydream wistfully about a return to retreats.

The world has changed, our team has changed, and things are going to look a little different.  But isn’t that partly why we travel?  We want to know what it's like to be someplace else, to feel a new rhythm beneath our feet.  We want to see the world and ourselves in a new light - and also to be reminded of what stays the same.

…we really can’t wait to explore with you again.

We're putting the last pieces in place to make these daydreams a reality, and I am bursting to tell you about the collaborations and destinations in store.  For now, I want to share a bit about what's changed and also the ideas that have stayed true.

One thing has become ever more clear in a decade of traveling and flowing (alongside so many of you, dear hearts):  Retreat is, inevitably, a return - less about escape, and more about connection.

You might be out of your everyday routine, discovering some beautiful new corner of the world.  But probably you'll also happen upon familiar, if forgotten, corners of yourself.  Like Yoga, travel is external and internal at once.  It can be both inhale and exhale - expansive, revelatory, centering.

Retreat offers space to return to yourself,  and to whatever it is that moves you.

This truth has always guided us in planning retreats, and now we're taking it a step further: every out-in-the-world offering (and there will be a few!), will be closely followed by an at-home virtual retreat – an opportunity to reconnect and re-center, a journey of the heart whether or not it's accompanied by travel.  We love supporting your home practice with fresh offerings every week, and we're excited to dive deeper with you in these virtual immersions.  It’s just another way to connect, and that’s kinda what we’re all about.
